Covid-19 (Corona Virus)

Updated 04 February 2022

Following changes to Government guidance in recent weeks, Bird Charles Surveyors Ltd have now revised their working practice.

As chartered surveyors, much of our work involves inspections of property and therefore we are taking extra precautions when undertaking surveys of properties.

Our surveyors will continue to take all reasonable precautions when undertaking surveys and will ensure they use hand sanitizer before entering any property. Our surveyors are also equipped with gloves and face masks which can be worn when requested by the occupiers of any property, or when  preferred by the surveyor to minimise any potential risk of exposure to non-symptomatic Covid-19.  Where possible, we would prefer properties to be vacant or occupied for the duration of the inspection, but accept that this is not always possible.

We will check with vendors and/or occupiers, not more than 24hrs before a survey inspection, to confirm whether there are any persons in the property who are self-shielding or who have tested positive for Covid-19 or are otherwise displaying typical symptoms of Covid-19 infection.

SURVEYS MAY BE CANCELLED OR POSTPONED LAST MINUTE if access to the property is not possible due to infection or self-isolation of occupants or those providing access.  Similarly our surveyors will not attend the property if they have any Covid-19 symptoms.

We continue to work in line with current Government guidance as outlined on the www.gov.uk website and will continue to monitor and adapt to the situation as appropriate.
